Ceiling-mounted fan-coil convector heaters

Smith's Environmental Products, fan coil convector, ceiling

Smith’s Environmental Products has launched two new ceiling-mounted versions of its Caspian light-commercial fan-convector range in response to market demand. The new units, CL60 and CL90, have EC motors that reduce electricity consumption by up to 80% and significantly reduce noise. A third model with higher output is due in 2014.

These new heaters are designed for all types of wet system, including lower flow temperatures, and have heat outputs of 4.5 kW (CL60) and 7.6 kW (CL90). Since the fans have EC motors, their speed can be varied to control heat output.

Accessories include a wall-mounted room thermostat, and adjustable low-temperature cut-out (30 to 90°C) and a wall-mounted controller.

Caspian low-level fan-convectors heaters were introduced in 2007, and there have been very few claims on their 5-year warranty.
