S&S updates its gas-interlock systems

S&S Northern, gas safety interlock

S&S Northern’s redesigned gas-interlock systems have a panel with a touch button control to turn off gas, water and electricity; it replaces a key system. The Merlin 1000S, 1000S+ and 1000SW+ (pictured) replace products with a GD designation and are designed for laboratories in schools, colleges and universities.

Alongside these gas-interlock systems for laboratories, the company has also redesigned its Merlin 2000 and 2500 units for commercial kitchens to incorporate the same touch button, replacing the key system.

Steve McMahon, managing director of S&S Northern, says, ‘The new models perform exactly the same functions, but the touch-button controls are more user friendly and ensure that losing a key for the panel is no longer a concern.’
