Biomass boiler comes with 20-year warranty

Wood Energy, biomass, space heating

Wood Energy now offers a 20-year total warranty for its Green Heat Module — a boiler and fuel store in a self-contained exterior. The duration of this warranty reflects the 20-year lifespan of the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

RHI payments are linked to the boiler serial number. If the boiler breaks down and cannot be repaired, the ongoing RHI payments are lost — especially if the boiler is past its warranty period, which is normally less than five years.

These modules also have a 25-year warranty for thermal and structural integrity and up to 40 years for the external finishes of the housing unit. The warranty is transferrable if the unit is sold. If a company moves, the module can be relocated without affecting RHI payments.

Green Heat Modules can accommodate a boiler up to 999 kW. They are available as single- or 2-storey units and have become popular with schools, hospitals and other public buildings.

Fully funded solutions are also available, covering the cost of the boiler and ongoing servicing and associated boiler repairs.
