Powerstar’s voltage optimisation system has been installed in over 400 Whitbread hotels and restaurants and reduced average electricity consumption by over 12%. Whitbread’s brands include Costa Coffee, Premier Inn and Beefeater, and the systems were installed as part of the company’s corporate responsibility programme ‘Good together’.

Working with Whitbread’s energy managers over the last four years, Powerstar’s engineers developed a thorough understanding of the company’s energy-consumption profiles and key carbon-saving aims and objectives.

The tailored systems installed have proved to be no-maintenance solutions with a payback period that meets Whitbread’s investment expectations.
