Made in Essex — Smith’s Sureline perimeter heating for a huge refurbishment project in New York.

A huge installation of perimeter heating to serve four high-rise buildings in New York has seen Smith’s Fan Convector manufacture 18.3 km of its Sureline perimeter heating. It is part of the refurbishment of four 26-storey buildings that were previously heated electrically. The central plant has a capacity of over 12 MW.

David High, CEO with Smith’s, said, ‘As well as being aesthetically pleasing and appropriate in terms of the physical design of the building, Sureline provides highly efficient heating from a low-water temperature heating and hot-water system. We’re extremely proud to be supplying this project with over sixty thousand linear feet of Sureline for this particularly project, proving our credentials globally.’

Sureline perimeter heating is a natural convector that is easily fitted at skirting-board level, providing an ideal form of perimeter heating that delivers gentle low-level warmth into any room.
