Shouksmiths reports a raft of new contract wins worth over £4 million. One is to deliver the £1.2 million contract for M&E services for The Edge student accommodation in Leeds, working with main contractor Tolent Construction. This luxury development will offer 131 spacious studios and one-bed apartments over seven floors. There will be a private gym, launderette, lounge and games zone.

There are also contracts for two more student-accommodation developments in Leeds — Asquith House and Asquith Hall. The buildings are next to each other and will offer 298 en-suite bedrooms and studios over six floors. The project value to Shouksmiths is £1.8 million.

The company has also started on site on a £1.4 million M&E contract at the Court Rooms in Bristol to develop a mixed-use block on the site of the old magistrates’ court to provide 348 student rooms, plus office and retail space.
