Torin-Sifan’s new EC fan deck

Torin-Sifan, fan deck, fan coil unit, air conditioning

Torin-Sifan’s latest generation of EC fan deck is very quiet in operation and has extremely low specific fan powers. These fan decks are ideal where multiple fans are required to achieve specified airflows but where space is limited — such as in fan-coil units, fan-convector units, air curtains, trench heating and ventilation units.

The EC motor used in these units incorporates a new electronics package to improve efficiency and reduce specific fan powers It exceeds the requirements of the January 2015 efficiency grade for fans and motors specified in the latest edition of the ErP regulation for fans. The motor and electronics package is also more compact.

For EMC compliance, harmonic filtering is built into the onboard electronics, avoiding the cost of additional harmonic filtering. Speed control can be by a 0 to 10 V signal.

The range is available with single and double shafts with impeller diameters form 106 to 186 mm and impeller lengths from 148 to 236 mm.

A tacho output signal provides easy monitoring of fan speed, enabling the user to check that the fan is running. Alarm systems can be linked to a BMS of larger systems to support maintenance control.
