Viessmann enters specification market with combi boiler

Viessmann now offers a combi boiler aimed at the specification market. The Vitodens 050-W boiler has a compact design, partly due to a reduction in the flue-to-fittings height. The boiler itself is 707 mm high and has an installation height of 825 mm. It a suitable replacement for outdated boilers in flats and apartments, where up to five boilers can be connected to a single vertical flue system.

The cost of spare parts is kept low by the use of many proven components from platform products that can be replaced individually — rather than replacing a complete gas train or circuit board for a single component fault.

Weather compensation can be incorporated with the addition of a inexpensive outdoor sensor as the circuit board already has the required software.

At the heart of the boiler is Viessmann’s Inox-Radial heat exchanger of stainless steel and with a 10-year warranty. The standard warranty on the boiler is three years.

Darren McMahon, marketing director, says, ‘It has always been Viessmann’s intention to enhance its offer to the specification sector by continuing to develop products that meet this sector’s needs. This is proven by the launch of the Vitodens 050-W as a product to suit the specifier market.’
