Major new project starts at MediaCityUK

MediaCityUK

The latest development at MediaCityUK in Salford is dubbed ‘Tomorrow’. This £20 million project totals over 90 000 m2 and fronts onto Broadway. It features a 112-bed hotel, enhancing the offering at MediaCityUK as a visitor destination. There are also new offices and studio space to meet the increasing demand for the fast-growing creative and digital industries.

Bowyer & Kirkland is the appointed construction partner, using architectural plans completed by Chapman Taylor.

Tomorrow will be located in a 10-storey building, with four floors for the hotel, a Premier Inn, and six for business use.

The office space will be a blank canvas for occupiers to design their own creative space. The offices will have a studio/warehouse feel, with internal features that include exposed ceilings.

Work is scheduled for completion by summer 2016.
