EMSc named as a top company in Yorkshire

EMSc (UK) Ltd, which manufactures the Powerstar range of voltage-optimisation systems, has been named among Yorkshire’s top 100 SMEs for 2015. The Sheffield-based firm is 56 on the BHP list of Yorkshire’s top SMEs and also in the top 15 manufacturing firms on the list.

Since moving to the current factory and office two years ago, employee numbers have increased by over 11%, manufacturing output has increased by 20%, and investment in R&D has increased by 18%. Turnover in 2014 increased by 9%.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
