Ruskin joins Rugby World cup sponsors

Ruskin Air Management

Ruskin Air Management is sponsoring Tonga in this year’s Rugby World Cup, being held in England and Wales during September and October. The Ikale Tahi (Sea Eagles) defeated France 19-14 in the last world cup in New Zealand four years ago, but just missed making it to the quarter finals for the first time.

Other teams in Ikale Tahi’s group are Argentina, Georgia, Namibia and the All Blacks — that match being at St James’ Park in Newcastle on 9 October.

The team performs a pre-match ritual dance — the Sipi Tau — to lay down a challenge to their opponents.

Ruskin’s sales director David Fitzpatrick, says, ‘It is a fantastic opportunity for us to get really involved in this year’s Rugby World Cup. We are already enjoying our relationship with Tonga. The players are wonderful ambassadors for their country and the great rugby heritage of all the Pacific nations.’
