Albion introduces a new range of compact PICVs
Albion Valves (UK) has introduced a new range of pressure-independent control valves (PICVs). The Art 20C range has a compact design and is designed for the automatic balancing of heating and cooling systems. It is particularly compatible with fan-coil units and chilled beams and can withstand temperatures from -10 to +120°C.
This range of PICVs complements the Monolink system. When assembled together, the configuration offers a solution that is much easier to install where space is at a premium.
The Art20C range is available in DZR brass, and its main functions are to regulate, control and modulate. A pre-setting dial makes it easy to select the required flow rate. The valves also support constant flow, regardless of pressure fluctuations, and the flow is modulated along the whole stroke of the electric actuator. These valves also offer greater flexibility if a system is modified after first installation.
The Monolink is a pre-assembled factory-tested valve arrangement designed in a simple and highly compact H block. It is suitable for a wide range of pipe connections, and its structure reduces the risk of leaks and minimises the space required to connect to the system.
Control permutations include a linear gear motor for the proportional or 3-point control that is typical of building-management systems, a thermo-electric actuator for zone or on/off operation, and a self-acting thermostatic sensor for pipework temperature control.
