Bookings are now open for one of the industry’s major award evenings, the BCIA Awards of the Building Controls Industry Association. This year’s awards are on Thursday 12 May at a new venue, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. The evening includes a 3-course meal and entertainment provided by well-known comedian and TV personality Rufus Hound.

Casey Wells, UK marketing manager of sponsor Trend Control Systems Ltd says, ‘We have been long-time supporters of the awards, and it’s fantastic to see the event improve year on year. Tables for 10 people cost £1000. Individual places are available at £120.

New procurement rules mean NHS suppliers will need to demonstrate their green credentials so the NHS can achieve its target of becoming net zero for directly-controlled emissions by 2040, with an ambition to reach an 80% reduction in its carbon emissions between 2028 to 2032.
