G&H Building Services helps win award

G&H Building Services

Contributing to the restoration of Leeds City College’s historic Printworks building winning an award were M&E works designed and built by G&H Building Services. Sewell Construction received the award for the ‘Committed to heritage and refurbishment’ category in the ‘Committed to construction in Humber & West Yorkshire awards 2016’. The awards are run by the Chartered Institute of Building.

The renovation of Print Hall building 1 in the Grade 2 listed former Alf Cook Printworks unlocked an unused facility for educational use while preserving the industrial character of the building.

Services designed and installed by G&H included underfloor heating, air conditioning, gas-fired boiler plant room, heat-recovery ventilation systems, radiators and radiant panel, and specialist feature lighting.
