G&H completes services for luxury spa project

G&H Building Services, contractor

G&H Building Services has completed the £1.2 million mechanical contract as part of an addition to the Grade I-listed Rudding Park spa development at Harrogate. Work included cooling, ventilation and power supplies to nine treatment rooms, three relaxation rooms and a plunge pool.

There is a 17 m indoor swimming pool and a 12 m outdoor hydrotherapy pool, associated changing rooms, a restaurant, shop, hair studio and manicure, pedicure and make-up bar.

Underfloor heating was installed in most areas to add another degree of luxury and comfort.

There is a 1500 kW CHP unit recycling otherwise wasted heat and feeding back into the National Grid.

G&H Fabrication built a heating skid mount off site, reducing the works by four weeks compared to a traditional on-site build.

G&H Maintenance will carry out planned preventive maintenance for the first 12 months.
