G&H wins super-school project in Sheffield

G&H Building Services is responsible for the £3 million M&E contract to develop a school and community hub on the site of the former Don Valley Stadium in stadium. The company secured the contract with BAM Construction as part of the £17 million development that will offer 1200 places for children.

Services will include passive ventilation for classrooms, rainwater harvesting and a connection to a district-heating system being developed by E.ON. Graham Kelly, managing director of G&H Building Services, said, ‘This is a significant contract win for us and continues our success over recent years that has seen the business regularly be chosen for work of this value and calibre.

‘It is aiming to achieve a BREEAM “Very good” accreditation. Our work will play a major part in this, showcasing best practice in the way it operates.’

G&H starts work on site in January 2015, with the school due to open in September 2015.
