Reznor scores with Derby FC

HVAC specialist Reznor has seen its Nor-Ray-Vac system installed at Derby FC’s Pride Park home ground. The project is thought to be one of the first heated concourses in the UK.

Derby County fans will enjoy the benefits of a heated concourse now that club owner Mel Morris has invested in the Reznor system. The stadium has recently undergone an £1 million upgrade, to optimise visitor experience at the venue.

The Nor-Ray-Vac system was designed and implemented by local contractors, Pegasus and provides blanket coverage of the concourse, eliminating any cold spots. It will use an estimated 25% less energy than an equivalent warm air system in this type of stadium environment.

As the concourse is situated underneath the stadium seats, the versatility of the system design meant the flue could be installed horizontally through the exterior walls. The total system installed comprised nine LR burners suspended at 6m high and 2 unitary Vision U Tube radiant heaters.
