BRE acquires Europe’s leading consultancy in intelligent building

BRE has boosted its expertise in intelligent buildings with the acquisition of two specialist divisions of i&i Ltd, Europe’s leading intelligent-building consultancy. The acquisition brings two important services areas into BRE — intelligent-building-systems consultancy and ibexcellence, the world-renowned Centre of Excellence for Intelligent Building. Alan Kell, former managing director of i&i and now director of BRE’s new International Centre of Excellence for Intelligent Building, says, ‘After 10 years of developing our unique positioning in this field, we’re delighted to have this opportunity to merge with BRE. Working with BRE’s unique expertise and networks, we’ll be able take this business to a completely new level in many parts of the world.
