T&A partners with CCS to prevent legionella

T&A
Legionella bacteria are prevented from entering clean potable systems by Tour & Andersson’s TA-Aqua+ non-chemical treatment unit.
Tour & Andersson has teamed up with central Chemical Services to provide a comprehensive service for controlling legionella in potable hot and cold water systems that is largely free of chemicals. There are several aspects to the service. The first is a risk assessment and control plan devised by CSS to minimise inherent risk factors such as deadlegs. CCS next removes existing limescale, bacteria and biofilm — the breeding ground for legionella. Once the system has been fully analysed and cleaned, Tour & Andersson installs the TA-Aqua to act as a gatekeeper to protect waterborne systems by breaking down micro-organisms using ‘advanced oxidation technology’. No chemicals are used. There are no toxic residues, and the properties of the water are unchanged.
