Luxury development incorporates discreet underfloor heating

Luxury Develpment
This luxury residential development at Southport in the north west of England is served by Evenheat underfloor heating. Royal Park comprises 24 apartments and three mews houses in a small landscaped park within easy reach of long sandy beaches and a bustling city centre. The ground floors have the Evenheat pipework and insulation integrated into the floor using a sand and cement screed. On the upper storeys, a floating-floor technique has been used to match the precast construction and avoid the need for wet trades in the later stages of the project. The pipework is held in pre-cut channels in double aluminium heat-diffusion plates above 50 mm insulation panels. The entire floor area was then topped by a 22 mm chipboard deck to provide a smooth and even surface for the final finish. Each dwelling has its own gas-fired boiler.
