Simmtronic wins Heron Tower lighting-control contract

The lighting control systems for the 46-storey Heron Tower in the City of London are being supplied by Simmtronic. This development by Heron International is being built as a multi-occupancy building with 40 000 m2 of world-class office space. It is due for completion in 2011.

Skanska has contracted Simmtronic to supply its Specs3 fully addressable lighting-control systems for the shell-and-core and Cat A fit-out.

The system was specified by Foreman Roberts and includes Tridonic DSI (digital serial interface) ballasts, addressable lighting-control modules, blind controls and presence detection. It will be ready to supply any additional features and configurations required by future tenants.
