Ciat introduces new range of roof units

Ciat

New Space roof-top units from Ciat are 30% more efficient than previous models and available for cooling-only or heat-pump operation. There are 17 models with cooling capacities from 20 to 390 kW, including a version with condensing gas heating.

They use R410A refrigerant, and most models can deliver free cooling by delivering fresh air directly into the building when outside temperature permits. Energy can also be extracted from exhaust air to incoming fresh air.

Fans have EC motors so that can be run at the exact speed required. An air-quality sensor detects carbon dioxide and VOCs to deliver fresh air as required. Soft start protects ductwork from damage during pressurisation.

Control options include cards for Modbus and LON protocols.
