SES completes M&E services for two schools in Guildford

SES

Shepherd Engineering Services has recently completed M&E installations worth £5 million for two new schools in Guildford — Pond Meadow and Christ’s College (pictured). Both schools use bold designs from award-winning architects, and innovative heat-recovery and design features to provide a sustainable, safe and inspirational environment for pupils. The total design-and-build cost for both schools was £24.6 million.

Working with main contractor Wates Construction, SES started the 70-week project in September 2007.

Derek Joiner, divisional director for London and the south east at SES, says, ‘This is the first time we’ve worked with Wates on an educational project, and in little over a year we’re proud to have provided the local Guildford community with two brand new schools suitable for accommodating over 800 children.’
