Ductless ventilation and air conditioning

Trox has launched a system for facade ventilation and air conditioning based on units that are built into the facade of the building to introduce fresh or conditioned air to the conditioned space.

The simplest form is the decentralised window and facade natural ventilator. Discharge characteristics and airflow control can be achieved by rotating the air-control cylinders, which, even when fully open reduce external noise by over 40 dB(A), enabling these units to be used in noisy environments.

Units can be installed under the sill, as the sill or at high level as part of a window head detail. They can also be installed vertically at the side of a window or integrated into curtain walling.

More sophisticated units are available that incorporate heat recovery.
