Eaton upgrades Memshield range of distribution boards

Eaton

Eaton’s Memshield 3 range of final distribution boards and associated circuit-protection devices for commercial, industrial and public buildings is described as breaking new ground in the range of functions it can perform. In particular, 125 A Type B boards are now offered with a 250 A option in the larger sizes, while 250 A boards can be used instead of MCCB panelboards for some applications.

Memshield 3 distribution boards are available as single- and 3-phase versions with up to 24 outgoing TPN ways. Single-pole and triple-pole circuit breakers in ratings up to 63 A have a 10/15 kA short-circuit rating. These devices were previously offered as two separate ranges with 10 and 15 kA short-circuit ratings.

Memshield 3 RCBOs are offered with trip sensitivities from 10 to 100 mA with a 10 kA short-circuit rating.

These new distribution boards have a more modern styling with rounded edges. The boards are slightly larger than before to provide ample wiring space, even when using RCBOs to meet the requirements of the 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations.

A time-saving feature is a cable-trunking interface kit for use when boards are mounted on cable trunking. This plastic interface can be used as a template when cutting and drilling trunking.
