Heating and cooling system has radiant front panel

Daikin Europe, air conditioning, space heating

Daikin Europe has introduced an air-to-air heat-pump system for heating and cooling small offices and dwellings. Nexura FVXG has a front panel that heats up like a conventional radiator and releases warm air at a reduced and even flow for added comfort. This ‘radiant’ feature is activated by a button on the remote controller.

The system comes in three sizes with heating from 4.5 to 8.1 kW and cooling from 3.0 to 5.6 kW. Heating COP is greater than four.

Operating noise is 22 dB(A) in normal mode and 19 dB(A) in radiant mode. The 7-day programmer can provide four different actions per day.

Up to nine indoor units can be connected to a single outdoor unit.

The night-set mode provides heating 2 K lower and cooling 0.5 K higher to prevent rapid temperature changes during sleeping hours.

Air is purified by a titanium apatite photo-catalytic filter that traps microscopic dust particles, breaks down odours and absorbs organic bacteriological and viral contaminants.

Inverter-controlled compressors and the control system combine to deliver stable room temperatures and reduce stops and starts. Benefits include 30% lower energy consumption than traditional on/off systems and the prevention of overloading when other household appliances are in use.
