Titon low-energy ventilation helps housing win awards
Titon energy-efficient ventilation is helping 105 new homes in Chichester gain carbon-neutral status. HRV1 and HRV2 Q Plus units provide mechanical ventilation with up to 91% heat recovery for the 2- and 3-bedroom homes on the Graylingwell park development of Linden Homes. The site has won two awards, ‘Best low or zero carbon initiative’ and Galliford Try/Linden Homes ‘Best housebuilder 2010’ at the recent Housebuilder Awards.
The site will ultimately offer 750 new and converted homes. Heating will be supplied from an on-site energy centre, and water consumption will be reduced by a third compared to standard homes — helping the development comply with Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Thee ventilation units can be fitted in airing cupboards, lofts or service cupboards.
