Trox active chilled beams can be used with low ceilings

Trox, active chilled beam

The DID632 active chilled beam from Trox is only 210 mm high, so it can be installed in new or existing buildings with clear room heights of 2.6 to 4 m. These units are designed for rooms with high cooling loads and deliver 2.5 kW of cooling at 7 l/s. This high cooling performance is made possible by optimised nozzle configuration and unit geometry.

Air velocity in the occupied zone is reduced by adjustable blades that control the direction of air discharge. Other features achieve quiet and very reliable operation. There are four designs of induced-air grilles to enable specifiers to enhance the aesthetics of the ceiling space with standard product lines.

There are two types of heat exchanger. One is a 2-pipe system with a change-over valve to provide heating or cooling. The other is 4-pipe version that provides independent heating and cooling for any room on a circuit.

These beams are offered in eight lengths with four nozzle options.
