Mitsubishi updates M Series MXZ outdoor a/c units
Mitsubishi Electric has updated its range of M Series MXZ Multi air-conditioning outdoor units to include new sizes, new indoor-model combinations and new energy-saving and diagnostic features. They can be used to replace existing R22 systems cost effectively. The entire range has A ratings for both heating and cooling, with the size 54 model having a COP for heating of 5.04.
New models include updated models for sizes 52, 54, 71, 80, 100 and 140. There is also a new size 120 for the 2011 MXZ range.
The size 120 unit has a cooling capacity of 11.9 kW and heating of 13.7 kW at UK conditions. It can serve six indoor units with a maximum total system pipe length of 80 m.
A new feature on size 80, 100, 120 and 140 includes a means to limit power consumption to a preset lower limit, which can be useful for managing energy costs.
Other units can automatically analyse the system for errors in piping and wiring.
The new MXZ range can be using with M Series and Mr Slim indoor units.
More models will be introduced during 2011, including and A/A-rated units with a UK heating capacity of 15.4 kW and cooling of 15 kW, heating COP of 3.61 and cooling EER of 3.21.
Models up to size 120 can replace R22 systems.
