R&D complex installs Samsung DVM VRF air-conditioning systems
Samsung’s DVM (digital variable multi) heat-recovery air conditioning has been installed in the new offices and research-and-development centre of Gill Research in the New Forest. Gill designs and makes high-tech sensor systems, and new contracts and recent expansion have seen a doubling of floor space in one of its industrial units, in which the Samsung VRF system has been installed.
Distributor Freedom Air supplied six 8 hp outdoor units coupled to make two 24 hp sets serving a total of 24 slim ducted indoor units and Vivace wall-mounted units. The installation also includes four energy-recovery ventilation units that economically meet the requirements of Part F to provide 10 l/s of fresh air per person by recovering up to 80% of the heat in the outgoing air stream.
Installation was carried out by Heating & Cooling Solutions of Durley near Southampton.
Samsung’s new DMS2 data-management server controls the systems, with control from the front-end unit or via its built-in web server.
