Dimplex adds heat-pump cylinders to EC-Eau range

Dimplex, heat pump, DHW

Dimplex’s EC-Eau range of heat-pump hot-water cylinders offers mains pressure hot water for a wide range of light-commercial and domestic applications. These cylinders offer the same efficiencies as the rest of the EC-Eau range. They are available with capacities from 125 to 300 l and are specially designed to match the requirements of Dimplex heat pumps for optimal performance, although they can be used with other heat pumps.

For installations where space is limited, the range includes heat-pump cylinders with integrated buffer tanks. They are available with capacities from 125 to 210 l, all with a buffer capacity of 75 l.

A corrugated heat exchanger gives a large surface area to maximise heat transfer from renewable energy to the stored water.

These cylinders have 60 mm of injected foam insulation that is void free, including around immersion heaters and thermostats, and exceeds CHESS best-practice standards for standing heat losses.

Heat loss is further reduced by drawing hot water from the side of the cylinder rather than from the top.

The stainless-steel inner vessel has a 25-year guarantee.

Baxi research suggests schools strongly support heat decarbonisation

A survey conducted by Baxi of 200 state school estates managers, consultant engineers and M&E contractors has found that while enthusiasm for Net Zero and support for low carbon heating systems in schools is thriving, persistent barriers remain.
