Grundfos is admitted to Royal London Hospital
A key part of the services requirement for the redeveloped Royal London Hospital is met by Grundfos pump solutions.
The £650 million redevelopment of the Royal London Hospital has its pumping requirements met by a range of Grundfos equipment for heating, chilled water, HWS, pressurisation and pressure boosting. The pumping solutions were developed with Skanska.
The redeveloped hospital has 6000 rooms, 40% of which are single occupancy. It comprises a cluster of interconnected glass buildings. They include two 17-storey towers, one of which has a helipad, and a 10-storey tower. The tallest building is 86 m high.
The buildings are totally sealed and ventilated with 100% fresh air that is treated before it enters them. Benefits included reduced noise levels and helping to control infection.
