Trox UK marked its 50th anniversary by bringing together all 159 employees from its four UK sites to the factory at Thetford for a ‘team photo’. Many staff have devoted their entire careers to working for the company. The average service across the workforce is 11 years, and 22 employees have 25 to 40 years’ services. Four employees have worked for Trox for over 40 years.

Managing director Ian Sams, says, ‘Our 50th anniversary is a fantastic achievement for everyone who has been involved in Trox’s history. It is a time to remember with pride everything the company has achieved and an opportunity to look to the future.’

The Trox Group was first established in Germany in 1951, and the UK subsidiary followed in 1962. The factory at Thetford was opened in 1971 to meet increasing demand.

Recent developments include a £2.1 million investment programme at Thetford and the setting up of regional sales offices in London, Manchester and Scotland.
