MHS provides recipe for success for Waitrose

Maintenance, refurbishment, MHS Boilers, space heating
Three Thision L boilers from MHS Boilers have provided an energy-efficient refurbishment for a Waitrose store.

MHS Boilers has supplied three frame-mounted 145 kW Thision L boilers to the Waitrose store in Hitchin as part of its recent refurbishment. M&E contractor for the project was CA Stothers, whose project engineer Lee Manning comments, ‘We contacted MHS Boilers for advice because our main objective was to maximise energy efficiency while maintaining a comfortable environment for staff and customers. We were advised that the Thision L would help us meet our requirements due to its gas-fired high efficiency and suitability for wall mounting in cascade, ensuring we made the most of the available plant-room space.’

These boilers have a double-helix stainless-steel heat exchanger and a turndown ratio of 6:1. They weigh just 60 kg and can be assembled into rigs of up to eight boilers.
