Grundfos helps update heating for tower blocks

Grundfos Pumps, space heating

The district-heating plantrooms in three renovated tower blocks in East Kilbride each have complete Grundfos pump solutions that include energy-efficient TPED inline pumps, Hydro MPC-E variable-speed booster pumps, pressurisation units, pressure step degassers and dirt separators. Built in the 1960s, Clyde Tower, Calder Tower and White Cart Tower have undergone a major external and internal facelift.

Grundfos worked with consultant Hulley & Kirkwood and contractor James Frew Ltd to deliver the optimal bespoke solutions for the buildings in the St Leonards area.
