Midlands expansion — Darrel Birkett of Cool Designs.

Cool Designs, which specialises in designing and distributing air-conditioning and heat-pump systems, has expanded into the Midlands with the opening of a sales, design and training centre in Cannock. Based in the new Cheltenham 3 building in Keys Business Village, it will be under the direction of Simon Bradley, recently appointed Midlands sales manager.

He joins Cool Designs from Toshiba Air Conditioning, where he was UK sales manager for six years.

Managing director Darrel Birkett said, Ever since we began trading in 2003, we have been expanding to meet a growing demand for our specialist services. The Cannock operation means that we are now covering an even larger part of the UK and should enable us to continue growing our turnover, which currently is about £5.5 million.’
