Humidification specialist JS Humidifiers is celebrating 30 years in business that has seen it grown from starting in the home of managing director Steven Verney to the present 2300 m2 premises in Rustington, where it moved in 1994. The company originally solved dry-air problems for the printing industry and became involved with HVAC in 1985.

Export activity started in 1986, and turnover today is £9.5 million. There are 65 staff in the UK and 25 international distributors. In 2011, the company became a member of the Walter Meier Group and expanded its product range to include the Condair, Draabe and ML System brands.

Steve Verney, founder and managing director, says, ‘As well as helping to maintain a healthy and productive indoor environment for many office workers over the last 30 years, JS has kept the printing presses rolling on Fleet Street, prevented static in the jute mills of India, helped preserve works of art in Buckingham Palace, improved the testing of Formula One engines and kept flowers fresh in the deserts of Dubai.

JS is proud to have helped advance manufacturing efficiencies in a multitude of industries and in so doing developed more hygienic, lower energy, more environmentally and maintenance friendly humidifier equipment.’
