The refit of this plant room in a Luton primary school includes three Potterton Commercial wall-hung condensing boilers.

Potterton Commercial has supplied three wall-hung condensing boilers to replace existing boiler plant in a primary school in Luton which was some 10 years old and no longer operating in a cost-effective manner. The Paramount 80 kW boilers were specified by NPS on behalf of Luton Borough Council.

The boilers were installed as part of an investment programme to improve the energy efficiency of school buildings under the auspices of the Energy Saving Trust’s One to One support programme.

Tennyson Road Primary School has around 200 pupils aged four to 11. The new boilers supply an existing radiator system serving classrooms, staff room, main hall, offices and other communal areas.

NPS has wide experience of Potterton Commercial boilers and has used them for a number of years. The company reports them to be completely reliable, straightforward to manoeuvre and, with compact dimensions, easy to locate in plantrooms with difficult access.

The boilers were installed by Aylward EMS as part of a complete refurbishment of the boiler room, which included removing all existing plant, pipework, boilers and controls.
