Bitzer’ intelligent compressors

Bitzer, intelligent compressor

Intelligent features in Bitzer’s CSVH range of compact screw compressors enable them to monitor operational parameters and use the integrated frequency inverter to provide variable-speed control to adjust cooling output as required. Parameters monitored include pressure, temperature and electrical supply to ensure that the operation of the compressor remains inside the application envelope at all times.

If deviations outside the required operating parameters are detected, an alarm is raised so that corrective action can be taken.

The compressor also logs all operating conditions and measures taken so that they can be recalled at any time for analysis. Data can be networked via interfaces such as Modbus and Ethernet.

A built-in web server enables the Internet to be used for remote diagnosis of performance. Other connection possibilities enable a compressor to be interrogated via a mobile phone or tablet. This feature is already available in such equipment as Bitzer Ecostar condensing units (pictured)

Other benefits of intelligent compressor technology include energy-efficient performance, reliable and safe operation, and simplicity of system design, installation and maintenance.
