HVAC troubleshooting guide

BSRIA, troubleshooting, maintenance

BSRIA is preparing a new troubleshooting manual to be launched at the end of January 2014. Called BG25/2014, it will replace the AG25/99 HVAC troubleshooting manual and is primarily intended for HVAC engineers and managers.

The new guide will be divided into colour-coded sections focusing on refrigeration, air systems, heating and common items such as pumps, motors, variable-speed drive and pressurisation units.

The intention of the guide is to impart a methodology and a basic logical sequence for identifying and solving problems on fundamental HVAC systems found in most commercial buildings and some domestic premises.

The guide has been designed so that it can be used by engineers and managers with different levels of HVAC knowledge. Troubleshooting procedures are presented in order of the affected system or component.

Hard copies are available, as are pdf downloads.
