Mikrofill keeps up the pressure at outdoor adventure centre

Complementing the aim of the Runways End outdoor adventure centre in Aldershot to be as environmentally friendly as possible is the use of a Mikrofill ‘direct-type’ unit as the pressurisation equipment on the LPHW system. These units have a power consumption of 10 W on standby and 30 W when fully operational and adding water to the system. Energy savings are said to be over 95% compared with a pump-type unit.
These fluid category 4 units formed part of a pressurisation package that included an expansion vessel, service drain valve and commissioning.
The equipment was specified by Hampshire County Council. ARB Mechanical Engineering of Southampton carried out the installation.
