Castle secures new contracts for £8.7 m

Castle Building Services, contractor

Castle Building Services has won three contracts for hotel projects valued at £5.7 million. The company has also won a £3 million contract for the major redevelopment of the Watson Building in Liverpool (pictured), a Grade 2 listed property that was formerly home to a John Lewis department store, into energy-efficient Grade A office accommodation.

One of the hotel projects is a building in London’s Leicester Square into an 80-bedroom 5-star hotel. No two bedrooms in this heavily serviced property will be the same size.

Another hotel project is the refurbishment and extension of a Grade 2 listed building in Newcastle upon Tyne into a 184-bedroom Premier Inn. It was previously a Co-op store.

The third hotel project is the conversion of disused office accommodation in Middlesbrough into a 138-bedroom Holiday Inn Express.
