Cool-Therm offers remote monitoring of Turbomiser chillers
Cool-Therm offers a monitoring services for Turbomiser chillers via the Cloud and GSM, with major benefits for engineers and end users. Turbomiser chillers are now equipped with communications hardware and software that enables them to remotely transmit and receive data. The system can connect to a local cellular GSM network or be accessed via Ethernet.
Connection requires the end user’s permission. It enables engineers to monitor plant performance remotely and diagnose potential problems prior to a site visit. This capability may make a site visit unnecessary.
In GSM mode, data is not streamed constantly, but channels are opened if an exception event occurs — such as an alarm/fault or parameter change.
Such exceptional events are recorded on a Cloud-based archive on the manufacturer’s web portal, which can e-mail plant supervisors and users with notifications.
The system is managed through the web portal of Geoclima, which makes Turbomiser chillers. Cool-Therm has its own dedicated software to provide direct communications with installed chillers for which access has been permitted by end users.
This remote monitoring service is offered by Cool-Therm as part of a Turbomiser chiller’s standard 2-year warranty, with the option to extend it beyond that period.
