Tectite installation times compared with other joints

Testing of Pegler Yorkshire’s Tectite push-fit system for pipework has shown substantial reductions in installation time compared with threaded joints and press-fit. The tests involved creating a prefabricated module containing three separate services and using all three jointing techniques.

Pipework company MEP created the module using Tectite three times faster than using threaded joints.

Construction business Balfour Beatty pitted Tectite against press-fittings and reduced installation time by 17 minutes to one hour flat — a 25% time saving.
