The 2020 Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) Awards are now open for entries with a number of different awards on offer.

The awards ceremony, which aims to recognise excellent work within the industry, will take place on Thursday 30th April in the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The categories for the awards include: Engineer of the Year, Young Engineer of the Year, Contribution to Training, Technical Innovation of the Year, Best Service and Maintenance Provider, Energy Management and BEMS Installer of the Year.

New to the awards is the Smart Buildings category, which will be awarded in recognition of how smart technology has been used to improve how the user experience.

Jon Belfield, President of the BCIA, says: β€œThe annual BCIA Awards are established as a beacon of excellence across the industry. The high level of independent scrutiny from the judges adds further value to the awards for both finalists and winners. The BCIA Awards are a truly wonderful night in our calendar and the perfect opportunity to celebrate out shared values and excellence.”

Nominations for the award can be made online on the BCIA website (link below) and there are no restrictions on the number of categories you can enter. Nominations close on Friday 20th December.
