Estimation boosts control of services and maintenance activity

Estimation has launched a services-and-maintenance module. It is designed for managing every aspect of a service department in a contracting organisation or for companies that specialise in building-services maintenance. The module is designed to deal with planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive (call-out) maintenance. One of its advanced features is the ability to track PPM information and the progress of call-out tasks to ensure that service-level agreements are complied with, while avoiding unnecessary site visits. Other features include optimising site attendance and identifying the most qualified operatives for each task, along with their location and status. Service Manager Plus will flag up chargeable items and prompt invoicing for them. It will also issue reminders for PPM work as appropriate. Links to accounts enable contractors to raise invoices automatically. At a strategic management level, Service Manager Plus tracks cost and performance of each contract so that ongoing profitability can be assessed easily. It will also highlight areas where profitability is below expected levels. info@estimation.co.uk
