Grundfos variable-speed pumps set the pace in refurbishments

As part of the programme of Hounslow Homes to achieve the Government’s ‘decent homes’ standard for its 16 500 housing stock, Grundfos variable-speed pumps using differential-pressure control have been installed as part of two plantroom refurbishments. They supply heating and hot water to council accommodation on the Maitland and Oriel Estates and use pumps from the NBE range of electronically controlled single-stage pumps with 18.5 kW motors. Using differential-pressure control enables the operation of the pumps to exactly match the load for heating and hot water in the winter and hot water only in the summer.
