Hamworthy’s involvement with Waterstones enters another chapter

Life-expired Hamworthy water heaters at Waterstones on Piccadilly in London have been replaced with two new Hamworthy water heaters.
The recent refurbishment of the Waterstones bookshop on Piccadilly in London includes the provision of domestic hot water using two Hamworthy direct-fire water heaters. This bookshop opened in 1999, and the 8-storey building stocks over 200 000 titles. Dorchester DR-LP water heaters were chosen by Capitol Engineering Services as a direct replacement for older Hamworthy models by Capitol Engineering Services. ‘Basically, the old water heaters needed renewing,’ commented Steve Perry, ‘and as the previous Hamworthy models had performed well over may years, we decided to replace like for like.’ The two water heaters give a continuous output of 1930 l/h and have a combined storage capacity of 624 l. The demand for DHW includes a coffee shop.
