Panasonic supplies air conditioning for Liverpool financial training centre

Panasonic air-conditioning
Providing individual air conditioning for four new rooms in the Liverpool training centre of Kaplan Financial is equipment from Panasonic’s FS range.
To cater for growing numbers of students and staff in its specialist training centre in Liverpool, Kaplan has installed Panasonic air-conditioning equipment to serve four new training rooms in Cotton House, a 1960s office development that replaced the original ornate facade of the 11906 Cotton Exchange building. The rooms are on the sixth floor. The equipment is from Panasonic’s FS range. Two inverter-controlled 6 hp and two 3 hp outdoor units serve six 3 hp 4-way 90x90 cassettes. Chris Parkinson, director of air-conditioning installer Chilltek, switched to Panasonic for the job when the system originally specified could not be delivered within the deadline required and says he plans to use the brand for future installations. The two larger 12 x 5 m rooms each have a 6 hp outdoor unit and two cassettes. The two smaller rooms have a 3 hp outdoor unit and one cassette. The cassettes have a cooling capacity of 7.1 kW and heating of 8 kW. Airflow is 1200 m3/h. The R410A outdoor units are mounted on the roof above the seventh floor. Because of the very shallow ceiling void Pacific Design provided special boxed collars for the 246 mm-deep cassettes.
