Cool-Therm lands over £1 million of orders

Cool-Therm, which specialises in industrial and commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration, has landed orders worth more than £1 million. Three major chiller contracts have given the company a healthy 7-figure order book to start the year.

They include two 7000 kW Turbomiser chillers for an international airport in the south of England and four 300 kW Turbomiser chillers with remote condensers for an MoD site in Wiltshire.

Managing director Ken Strong ways, ‘There is a lot of talk in the trade about the economy being depressed. However, our view is that there is plenty of work out there, if you are prepared to go out and get it.

‘We believe that the dip in construction over the coming year will be more than offset by the need to replace R22-based equipment and growth in demand for more energy-efficient plant. End users cannot postpone replacement indefinitely, and there are signs that enlightened clients are grasping the nettle.’
